Job summary

Frencken Mechatronics is seeking a BOM Assistant Engineer to support RFQ/costing, manage ERP data in SAP, and track engineering changes. You will collaborate across NPI, engineering, procurement, and sales to ensure accurate BOMs and cost data for quotations.

Fresh diploma holders with strong Excel and analytical skills are welcomed; training will be provided to develop expertise in BOM management and SAP processes within a high-tech environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical/Mechatronics or equivalent.
• Proficient in MS Office with advanced Excel.
• SAP proficiency preferred.
• Understanding of multi-line BOM and mechanical drawings.
• Strong numerical reasoning and attention to detail under tight deadlines.
• Excellent coordination and communication with internal teams.
• Fresh Diploma graduates with right analytical aptitude are encouraged; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Raise and manage RFQs in collaboration with NPI, Costing Engineers and Supply chain.
• Compile product cost to support quotation team during bidding.
• Upload and maintain accurate part numbers, quantities, units of measure, and cost in SAP.
• Track engineering changes, ensuring costs are captured and SAP updated accordingly.
• Coordinate with NPI, engineering, procurement, supply chain and Sales.

BOM Assistant Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• RFQ & Costing Support:
  • Raise and manage RFQs in collaboration with NPI, Costing Engineers and Supply chain.
  • Compilation of product cost to support quotation team during bidding.
• ERP Management:
  • Upload and maintain accurate part numbers, quantities, units of measure, and cost within SAP.
• Engineering Change Management (ECO/ECN):
  • Track engineering changes, ensuring relevant costs involved in implementation or liabilities are captured.
  • Update SAP in accordance with Engineering change.
• Cross-Functional Coordination:
  • Work closely with NPI, engineering, procurement, supply chain and Sales.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering or its equivalent.
• Proficient in MS Office, with advanced skills in MS Excel
• Proficient in SAP preferred.
• Understanding of multi-line Bill of Materials and Mechanical drawings.
• Strong numerical reasoning and exceptional attention to detail under tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational capabilities, and communication skills to coordinate with internal teams.
• Candidates with a background in business automation and Power Automate will be given preference.
