Job summary

Frencken Group is seeking a BOM Assistant Engineer to join our mechatronics team in Singapore. You will support RFQ and costing activities, manage part numbers and costs in SAP, and assist ECO/ECN processes while coordinating with NPI, engineering, procurement and sales.

The role requires a Diploma in Mechanical or Mechatronics, strong Excel skills, familiarity with SAP, and good numerical reasoning with attention to detail under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical/Mechatronics or equivalent is required.
• Strong MS Excel and MS Office skills; advanced proficiency.
• Experience with SAP is preferred.
• Understanding of multi-line BOM and mechanical drawings.
• Strong numerical reasoning and attention to detail under tight deadlines.
• Good communication and organizational skills for cross-functional coordination.

Responsibilities

• RFQ & Costing Support: raise and manage RFQs with NPI, Costing Engineers and Supply Chain.
• ERP Management: upload and maintain accurate part numbers, quantities, units of measure, and costs in SAP.
• Engineering Change Management (ECO/ECN): track changes and capture associated costs; update SAP accordingly.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: work with NPI, engineering, procurement, supply chain and Sales.

As a service provider, Frencken Mechatronics also produces high-quality precision components and modules for leading clients in the high-tech industry.BOM Assistant EngineerKey Responsibilities:RFQ & Costing Support:Raise and manage RFQs in collaboration with NPI, Costing Engineers and Supply chain.Compilation of product cost to support quotation team during bidding.ERP Management:Upload and maintain accurate part numbers, quantities, units of measure, and cost within SAP .Engineering Change Management (ECO/ECN):Track engineering changes, ensuring relevant costs involved in implementation or liabilities are captured.Update SAP in accordance with Engineering change .Cross-Functional Coordination:Work closely with NPI, engineering, procurement, supply chain and Sales.Requirements:Diploma in Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering or its equivalent.Proficient in MS Office, with advanced skills in MS ExcelProficient in SAP preferred.Understanding of multi-line Bill of Materials and Mechanical drawings.Strong numerical reasoning and exceptional attention to detail under tight deadlines.Strong attention to detail, organizational capabilities, and communication skills to coordinate with internal teams.Candidates with a background in business automation and Power Automate will be given preference.Note to Entry-Level Applicants: Fresh Diploma graduates who demonstrate the right analytical aptitude, strong Excel foundations, and sharp attention to detail are encouraged to apply.
