• Education in any discipline.
• At least 6 years of relevant experience in finance and/or supply chain related areas including finance, procurement, inventory management, logistics management, or asset stewardship.
• Meticulous with a keen eye for detail to identify potential non-compliances.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence across levels.
• Ability to adapt to change, manage competing priorities, and drive process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and report on budgets.
• Forecast resource requirements and align budgetary allocations with strategic objectives.
• Prepare financial reports and performance dashboards.
• Oversee end-to-end procurement processes with compliance to regulations.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies for timely acquisition of goods and services at optimal cost and quality.
• Oversee indents, transfers, and loans of equipment and materials with proper authorization and documentation.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate procurement, financial, and reputational risks.
• Ensure robust finance, procurement, and logistics processes and internal controls.
• Advise senior leadership on financial and operational risks related to finance, procurement, and inventory management.

What the role is:

You oversee and lead the efficient management of finance resources, procurement, and inventory systems to support operational readiness and sustainment. This role drives budget planning, manages procurement, and implements robust inventory control systems to track all stores, assets, and equipment from receipt to disposal.

What you will be working on:

• Develop, monitor, and report on annual and multi-year budgets

• Oversee the processing of indents, transfers, and loans of equipment and materials, ensuring proper authorisation and documentation
• Lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of procurement, financial, and reputational risks
• Ensure robust finance, procurement, and logistics processes and internal controls are in place
• Advise senior leadership on financial and operational risks related to finance, procurement, and inventory management
• Challenge(s)- Understanding and navigating organisation's finance, procurement, and logistics framework, policies, and processes
