Job description

What the role is:

The Operations, Monitoring, Readiness and Intelligence (OMRI), under MOM’s Assurance, Care and Engagement (ACE) Group, works with NGOs, community partners, government agencies and other stakeholders to improve the well‑being of Singapore’s migrant workforce. This is a purposeful role that offers opportunities to co‑create and co‑deliver solutions that better support migrant workers (MWs) and migrant domestic workers (MDWs).We are looking for a dynamic and experienced leader to join the team as Assistant Director. The successful candidate will lead Operations Development work within OMRI overseeing automation and digitalisation strategies, streamlining and developing operational processes that strengthen the ecosystem of support for MWs and MDWs.

What you will be working on:
  • Lead a team in driving innovation and continuous improvement across ACE operations by developing new knowledge, strengthening operational processes, and introducing enhanced services, ideas, and solutions that improve operational effectiveness and organisational readiness.
  • Spearhead initiatives to automate and digitalise existing workflows and implement transformative changes that enhance operational efficiency, streamline coordination, and strengthen ACE's ability to respond to evolving challenges.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., Data & Ops Tech Branch, ISTD and GovTech) to leverage tech enablers and data‑driven approaches to enhance ACE’s systems and operational processes.
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of the branches’ key workstreams, derive possible reasons for deviations from targets, engage and collaborate with key stakeholders to propose solutions to optimise the branches’ operations supporting the division’s mission and vision.
  • Lead the review of SOPs and doctrine to ensure the documents are relevant and updated to guide the actions of ACE in peacetime and crisis.
  • Lead the team in planning and execution of Ops Hub annual planning exercise. Collaborate with ACE Strategic Plans to develop and monitor Ops Hub key deliverables and KPIs.
  • Support the branch’s organisational development through overseeing department’s training budget and planning and facilitating in‑house events such as Unit Planning Exercise Teambuilding and regular huddles to build a strong and positive department culture, resulting in strong teamwork and collaboration within and across various branches and initiatives.
