Position Statement

The Assistant Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for managing all Food & Beverage outlets, Conference, and Banqueting operations as independent profit centers. The role ensures maximum guest satisfaction and operational consistency in line with Hilton International standards through effective planning, organizing, controlling, and marketing strategies.

What will I be doing?

As the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards.

Guest Experience & Service
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries and requests.
  • Anticipate guest needs and resolve issues effectively, including during emergencies.
  • Handle guest feedback and complaints positively, implementing improvements where needed.
  • Ensure all service standards outlined in the Guest Satisfaction Manual and SOPs are consistently met.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction levels and communicate findings to senior management.
  • Assist on the floor during operational hours to ensure smooth service delivery.
Operational Management
  • Plan, prioritize, and oversee daily operations across all F&B outlets and events.
  • Coordinate with other departments (Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering) to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain technical knowledge and stay updated on F&B trends and market demands.
  • Participate in menu development with the Executive Chef, considering market trends and guest preferences.
  • Attend and contribute to regular F&B and operational meetings.
  • Complete regular operational and financial reports as required.
Financial & Sales Performance
  • Monitor departmental performance using key financial indicators.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, forecasts, and variance explanations.
  • Control costs without compromising quality and implement strategies to maximize revenue.
  • Support promotional activities and assist in creating marketing materials for events and outlets.
  • Identify and act on potential sales leads, fostering a culture where “everyone sells.”
Team Leadership & Development
  • Recruit, train, and develop team members to meet operational and service standards.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Implement departmental training plans and evaluate effectiveness.
  • Foster a positive team culture that values collaboration, respect for diversity, and continuous improvement.
  • Communicate company strategy and departmental goals clearly to the team.
What are we looking for?
  • 2 to 4 years in a managerial position within a 4 or 5-star hotel.
  • Strong understanding of Food & Beverage and Conference & Banqueting operations, including cost control, labor management, menu planning, merchandising, and accounting.
