The role
As an Asset Manager, you will oversee the solar farm portfolio’s operational and financial performance, manage the O&M operator to ensure KPI compliance, review key reports, lead performance reviews, drive improvements, and provide performance insights for budgeting and investor updates.
What you'll be doing:
- Oversee the appointed O&M operator to ensure full compliance with contractual obligations, operational procedures, and achievement of all energy performance KPIs (availability, performance ratios, output).
- Review and validate operator reporting, including O&M reports, maintenance logs, incident records, and root‑cause analyses.
- Lead performance review meetings with the operator and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the portfolio.
- Maximize financial performance of the solar farm portfolio through strategic oversight—managing business plans, budgets, expenses, and cash flow without direct day‑to‑day operations.
- Support owner’s engagement in meetings and presentations with investors, providing operational updates as required.
- Prepare asset performance data, reports, and technical inputs to assist owner in investor discussions.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of technical and commercial aspects of asset management.
- Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in renewable energy as an Asset Manager (ideally gained in Solar and BESS).
- Engineering qualifications or relevant experience.
- Experience in operational budgets and forecasting.
- Skilled in contract and stakeholder management.
- Understanding of renewable energy legislation and regulatory compliance in Australia market is a bonus.
