Job summary

A prominent arts educational center in Singapore is seeking a skilled Art Teacher to guide students in traditional fine art mediums. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of teaching experience and proficiency in oil painting, acrylic painting, and drawing. This role requires effective communication with students and parents, as well as a passion for teaching both youths and adults. Positions are available on both a part-time and full-time basis, with shifts throughout the weekdays and weekends.

Job description
Position: Art Teacher (Part-Time / Full-Time)

We are seeking a passionate, confident and skilled Art Teacher to join our teaching faculty. The ideal candidate should enjoy guiding youth and adults in traditional fine art mediums and be comfortable teaching and interacting with parents and students.

Responsibilities
  • Teach and guide students (ages 7-18+ and adults) in drawing & painting

  • Conduct lessons in oil, acrylic, and drawing/sketching mediums

  • Provide constructive feedback and track student progress

  • Communicate with parents and adult learners effectively

  • Assist with studio operations, class setups, or events when required

  • Maintain a friendly, positive and encouraging studio environment

Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year teaching or art instruction experience

  • Proficiency in oil painting, acrylic painting, drawing/sketching

  • Diploma or higher education in Fine Arts or related fields

  • Bilingual preferred (English + Mandarin) for parent/student communication

  • Outspoken and confident communicator (comfortable speaking during class, consultations, or briefings)

  • Ability to work with youth and adults

  • Available to work Weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday)

  • Responsible, patient and enjoys teaching

Bonus (advantageous but not required):

  • Watercolour experience

  • Portfolio coaching / DSA knowledge

  • Experience engaging groups
