Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct testing in accordance with objective functionalities.

• Log and investigate problems during testing.
• Participate in integration testing, system testing, performance testing, and UAT.
• Assist in defect triage, test reporting, and release management.
• Plan and track test activities.
• Guide and manage junior testers.

As a Test Engineer you will be responsible to plan and execute the assigned test scenario with good understanding on the required outcome. The execution must conform to standards and are delivered with quality, according to schedule and adhering to test scenario. Where applicable, test engineer is required to call-out for any finetuning to the test scenario/test case.

What will you do?

• Understand the objective of the functionalities to be tested and ensure testing is conducted with good quality and according to timeline.
  • Functional and non-functional
• Collaborate with Business Analyst (BA) and software engineers to understand the functionalities.
• Participate in agile workshops and testing discussions with users
• Responsible for developing test cases, reviewing test specifications and test results
• Log and perform 1st level of investigation for problems detected during testing
• Participate in the integration testing, system testing, performance testing and User Acceptance Test (UAT) activities to ensure the smooth execution of test cases in respective environment.
• Assist the Test Manager in the defect triage, test reporting, release management and other testing activities

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as test engineer, involving in test case preparation, execution and test reporting.
• Having experience in test automation tool such as TOSCA, Selenium is added advantage.
• Familiar with Unix/Linux commands, Shell Scripting and Windows Powershell
• Experience using scrum-based software development tools like JIRA, confluence
