Job description

The Growing Academy is dedicated to providing quality after-school care and educational support to students with special needs. We work closely with children and youths, helping them develop essential life skills, social abilities, and academic independence in a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide supervision and care for children and youth.
  • Assist students with daily living activities, including toileting and showering.
  • Support students with homework and provide additional academic revision.
  • Implement and manage behavior strategies to support positive student behavior.
  • Facilitate social skills activities to encourage peer interaction and communication.
  • Plan and organize community outings and leisure activities to promote independence.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children and youths with special needs (autism, learning difficulties preferred).
  • Passion for working with special needs individuals in a nurturing and respectful manner.
  • Ability to assist with personal care tasks (toileting, changing, showering) when required.
  • Strong communication and behavior management skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Relevant qualifications in Special Education, Psychology, or related fields are an advantage.
  • First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain one) is a plus.

  • Pay: $2,600.00 - $2,700.00 per month
  • Benefits: Health insurance
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Supplemental Pay: 13th month salary
