A general building contractor in Singapore is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Administrative & Purchasing Executive. This role supports site operations, procurement, and project documentation. Our client is a BCA-registered General Builder involved in public housing and building projects across Singapore. They are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Administrative & Purchasing Executive to support site operations, procurement, and project documentation.
This role is ideal for candidates with construction or engineering office experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced project environment.
Handle daily administrative duties including filing, document control, and project records.
Maintain proper documentation for purchase orders, delivery orders, invoices, and subcontractor claims.
Prepare and track site reports, correspondence, and project paperwork.
Coordinate with site staff, engineers, and project managers on administrative matters.
Source and purchase construction materials, tools, and consumables based on site and project requirements.
Prepare and issue purchase orders (POs) and follow up on deliveries and lead times.
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
Track material usage and update purchase and inventory records.
Compare quotations and support cost-control efforts.
Coordinate with site teams to ensure materials arrive on time and in correct quantity.
Assist with payment tracking, supplier documentation, and monthly cost summaries.
Support audits, project handovers, and close-out documentation when required.
Diploma or equivalent in Business Administration, Construction Management, or related field.
2–3 years of experience in administration or purchasing within the construction industry preferred.
Familiar with construction materials, suppliers, and procurement processes.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word); experience with accounting or procurement systems is an advantage.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks.
Good communication skills and able to work with site and office teams.
