Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assist Operations Manager in day-to-day school operations and events.
• Lead Operations Support Officers to ensure safe learning environment.
• Oversee vendors and contractors for facilities projects.
• Collaborate on budgeting and evaluation of proposals.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and school protocols.
• Support student discipline-related matters with leadership.

Job Summary

The Adjunct Operations Manager leads infrastructure and logistics management, supervises Operations Support Officers, and serves as the Senior Fire Safety Manager to ensure safety, security, and emergency preparedness at the school.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily fire safety inspections to identify and eliminate fire hazards in compliance with Fire Safety (FSM) Regulations as the Senior Fire Safety Manager (SFSM)
• Maintain daily presence at the building to perform all SFSM duties fully and effectively
• Train and brief the school's Operations Manager on fire safety protocols and emergency response plans
• Document all fire safety arrangements and SCDF requirements in the Ministry of Education Emergency Response Plan (ERP)
• Assist the Operations Manager in managing day-to-day school operations, activities, and events to ensure safety, security, and emergency readiness
• Supervise and lead a team of Operations Support Officers to maintain efficient school operations and a safe learning environment
• Oversee vendors, including Managing Agents and Term Contractors, for infrastructure and facilities improvement and maintenance projects
• Collaborate with Vice-Principal (Administration) and Administration Manager to manage infrastructure budgets and evaluate project proposals
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and implement school safety protocols
• Support student discipline-related matters by coordinating with relevant school leaders

Required competencies and certifications

• Valid Certificate as a Senior Fire Safety Manager (SFSM)

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in estate and facilities management or related fields
• Experience and knowledge in estate management, logistics, safety, and emergency planning
• Strong organizational skills demonstrated by meticulous management of operations and safety procedures
• Effective communication skills in English and good interpersonal skills to engage with staff and vendors

• Work location: Sin Ming
• Working hours: Mondays to Thursdays, 9:30am to 7:00pm (including 1-hour lunch break); Fridays, 10:00am to 7:00pm (including 1-hour lunch break)
• This is an outsource role.
