Job summary

Pactumax International Pte Ltd is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our growing finance team in Singapore. This full-time role supports day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate records and compliant financial processes in a dynamic business environment.

You will handle transactions, reconciliations and reporting, work with Excel and accounting software, and contribute to month-end close. AAT or related qualification plus prior experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• A qualification in accounting, finance or a related field, such as an AAT qualification or equivalent.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
• Good organisational skills and ability to multitask.
• Reliable and conscientious with a commitment to accuracy.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.
• Previous experience in an accounts department is desirable.
• Knowledge of Sage 300 or QuickBooks is advantageous.
• 5.5 working days per week.

Responsibilities

• Process and record financial transactions, including invoices and receipts.
• Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with preparation of financial statements and reports.
• File and organise financial documents according to procedures.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Respond to routine accounting inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Data entry and verification to ensure accuracy.
• Assist with petty cash management and reimbursements.
• Support maintenance of accounting systems and procedures.
