Job summary

Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • General Ledger & Month-end Closing
    • Post and review journal entries in NetSuite.
    • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Support month-end closing for the organization.
    • Maintain fixed asset registers, process additions/disposals, and run depreciation.
  • Reporting and analysis
    • Prepare internal management reports and variance analysis
    • Contribute to rolling forecasts and financial projections.
    • Provide financial analysis to guide decision‑making
  • Grant & Fund accounting support
    • Track grant utilisation and restricted funds according to non-profit requirements.
    • Assist in preparing reports for government agencies, donors, and grantors.
    • Ensure adherence to relevant compliance standards for childcare services.
  • Audit & Compliance
    • Prepare and deliver PBCs; respond to auditor queries; maintain documentation and audit trails.
    • Prepare GST F5 returns
    • Ensure adherence to applicable accounting standards and internal policies.
  • Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Coordination
    • Verify payment/refund/e‑claims batches against documentation and controls.
    • Review AR/AP related general journals for accuracy and proper coding.
    • Liaise with Finance Executives on schedules to ensure completeness ahead of close milestones.
Qualifications & Experience

Education:

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Professional qualifications (eg, ACCA/CPA) are an advantage.

Experience:

  • 2–5 years accounting experience, preferably with exposure to non‑profit, social services or service-oriented organisations.
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar.
  • ERP systems.

Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, lookups). - Strong analytical, organisational, and documentation skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a medium-sized finance team.
