Roles & Responsibilities

We’re looking for a versatile 2D Game Artist to join our small indie team (8–10 people) developing a new RPG title for PC (Steam).

About the Role

As one of the core members of the art team, you’ll be involved in every stage of visual development — from early concepts to polished in‑game assets.

Our art direction leans toward dark but colorful, inspired by Hades‑style mood and lighting, while aiming for a polished and AI‑assisted production pipeline that balances human creativity and smart automation.

This role is ideal for someone who’s both art‑driven and tech‑curious, able to blend classic design skill with new AIGC tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design original characters, items, and symbols that define the game’s world and tone.
  • Create concept art for environments, props, and key scenes to guide overall visual direction.
  • Develop UI assets, icons, and interface elements that feel cohesive and readable in‑game.
  • Produce Spine character animations (idle, cast, damage, death, etc.), plus skill effects, particles, and UI motion.
  • Use AIGC tools such as Midjourney, Leonardo, or ComfyUI to generate concept ideas, iterate faster, and improve efficiency while maintaining strong artistic judgment.
  • Collaborate closely with programmers and designers to ensure smooth integration of assets into Unity.
  • Contribute ideas for visual polish, shaders, and effects that enhance gameplay feedback.
Requirements
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop.
  • Strong fundamentals in character design, lighting, and color composition.
  • Open‑minded toward AI‑assisted workflows; familiar with Midjourney or similar AIGC tools.
  • Understanding of Spine or willingness to learn 2D skeletal animation pipelines.
  • Comfortable working closely with technical teams and discussing Unity, rendering, or shader details.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Genuine curiosity and passion for both playing and creating RPGs.
  • Able to work full‑time on‑site in Singapore.
Nice to Have
  • Experience in indie or Steam game production.
  • Previous work on RPG or fantasy titles.
  • Familiarity with AI image‑to‑paint workflows or post‑processing techniques.
  • Understanding of UI / UX flow and readability in gameplay contexts.
