Job summary

Banking Computer Services Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of NETS, provides 24x7 application support for FAST, IBG, CTS, PayNow, SGQR and related systems. The Application Support Engineer role focuses on maintaining operational stability, monitoring alerts, incident management, and coordinating with development, infra, and business teams to ensure timely problem resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/IS/CS or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, Oracle, SQL/PLSQL and APIs.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/ Solaris basics and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve application incident tickets end-to-end from investigation to closure.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues to minimise business impact and restore service.
• Perform root cause analyses and post-incident reviews to prevent recurrence.
• Document solutions and known issues for knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and support teams on complex fixes.
• Support day-to-day monitoring, deployments and environments.
• Escalate unresolved issues and track progress to resolution.
• Provide status updates and incident reports to leads and management.
• Ensure SLA-aligned support, including 24x7 where required.
• Contribute to testing, documentation, and system enhancements.
• Assist with production queries from internal stakeholders, auditors, banks, regulators.
• Provide timely updates to team, users and customers.
• Prepare and update project, change, and operational docs.
• Support testing and investigations in non-prod environments.
• Assist in annual industry and regulatory testing (VAPT/APPT/API PT).
• Support deployments to testing and production per change management.
