Job summary

NTT Singapore PTE. LTD. is seeking an Application Support Engineer focused on production support for business-critical applications in a financial services context.

You will troubleshoot incidents, monitor systems, and work with L3, development and infrastructure teams to ensure stability and timely resolutions. The role requires Linux/Unix experience, SQL proficiency, and familiarity with monitoring tools. Banking domain exposure and CI/CD know-how are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in IT, CS, engineering, or related discipline.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in Application/Production Support or SRE.
• Hands-on Linux/Unix experience.
• Strong SQL skills with relational databases.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Kibana, Grafana, Splunk.
• Exposure to Jenkins, Git and CI/CD processes is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Python, Java or Shell scripting would be beneficial.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, containers or AWS is a plus.
• Financial services domain experience welcomed.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with business users and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide L1/L2 production and application support for business-critical applications.
• Investigate production incidents, system alerts and user-reported issues.
• Perform initial troubleshooting using logs, dashboards and DB queries.
• Monitor logs with Kibana, Grafana, Splunk or equivalents.
• Run SQL queries on Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL for investigation.
• Coordinate with L3, development and infra teams to resolve issues.
• Manage incidents and service requests within SLAs.
• Support releases, deployments and change activities.
• Assist with CI/CD activities using Jenkins, Git.
• Support apps on Linux/Unix environments.
• Participate in root cause analysis for recurring issues.
• Maintain operational procedures and docs.
• Provide timely updates to business users and tech stakeholders.
