Job summary

Tech People 247 is seeking a reliable Desktop Support Specialist (Level 1) to provide on-demand, task-based onsite technical support. You will respond to local dispatch requests to troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network issues for end-users, ensuring quick resolution and minimal downtime.

The role focuses on hands-on hardware diagnostics, OS support, and network connectivity, with documentation of steps in ticket updates and clear communication with dispatch leads.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support, helpdesk, or field desktop support.
• CompTIA A+ or equivalent preferred.
• Solid understanding of PC hardware and Windows 10/11.
• Familiar with remote support tools and ticketing systems (ServiceNow/Jira/Zendesk).

Responsibilities

• Onsite troubleshooting of hardware, OS, and peripherals.
• Assist with Windows OS setups, software installations, updates, and password resets.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity and Wi‑Fi issues.
• Document steps and resolutions in tickets during dispatch visits.
