Job summary

NSC Global is seeking a Desktop Support Field Engineer to join our team. The role involves installing, upgrading, and supporting Windows and Apple devices, printers, and peripherals, with hands-on troubleshooting and user assistance across sites.

The engineer will maintain hardware inventories, coordinate with vendors, and escalate complex issues to tier-3 as required, ensuring minimal downtime and user productivity.

Qualifications

• Experiences with PCs and desktop hardware, and familiarity with Windows OS and peripherals.
• Knowledge of current protocols, operating systems, and IT standards.
• Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist is considered essential; A+ experience is noted.
• Ability to operate with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, and support Windows OS, Office, Apple devices and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot hardware, printers and other authorized equipment; perform preventative maintenance.
• Configure and customize desktop hardware to meet user specs and site standards.
• Document repairs, track inventory, and manage equipment shipping/receiving.
• Collaborate with vendor contacts and escalate to tier-3 as needed.
• Provide user data and application recovery; ensure network access is maintained.
