Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a Health, Safety and Environment Training & Competence Specialist to shape HSE capabilities across the HVDC organization. You will blend training with safety and continuous improvement to strengthen safety culture and support employee growth.

You will connect stakeholders, align training initiatives, and move development activities forward, influencing how learning is delivered across functions for a safer and more sustainable future.

Qualifications

• Experience within HSE in construction, industrial, manufacturing, or similar operational environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders across functions.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging HSE training programs using diverse learning methods (e-learning, classroom, hands-on).
• Identify competence gaps and drive HSE capability development across the organization.
• Establish and maintain an HSE competence assurance program with managers and stakeholders.
• Integrate competence requirements into roles, processes, and day-to-day operations across the business.
• Continuously enhance training content and methods in line with legislation and best practices.
