Job summary

Maersk in Gothenburg seeks a Direct Transport Sales Representative to manage and develop local business relationships for standardized products with short sales cycles. You will be based at our Gothenburg office and travel irregularly to meet customers and partners.

Bring experience in shipping/logistics, a track record closing various transport modes, and fluency in Swedish and English. You will use Salesforce to keep data current and collaborate with local product teams to grow volumes and

Qualifications

Experience in shipping and logistics; market knowledge preferred.
Track record closing customs, air, LCL, ocean and landside business.
Understanding of customer requirements and their concerns.
Service and customer orientation.
Strong communication skills (written and presentation).
Independent action and entrepreneurial mindset.
Proficiency in Swedish and English.

Responsibilities

Manage assigned customers agreements and budget base; pursue and secure existing and new business within objectives.
Build understanding of target customers and the assigned account base.
Work with local product organization to grow volumes and revenue.
Identify transport/re-supply needs and provide logistics solutions.
Communicate trends, rate changes and policies to accounts.
Research market and establish business contacts with potential customers.
Ensure Salesforce CRM data is up to date.
Travel will be required on an irregular basis.
Have regular days in the Gothenburg office to meet colleagues.
