Job summary

NSC Global is seeking a Desktop Support Field Engineer to join our team. You will install, support, and troubleshoot Windows OS, Mac devices, printers and peripherals at client sites, while maintaining hardware inventory and coordinating with field teams.

The role requires 7+ years of experience or an associate degree in a related area, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team. Certifications such as Microsoft CTS are preferred.

Qualifications

Excellent technical knowledge of PCs and desktop hardware.
Working knowledge of current OS protocols and standards.
Ability to operate tools, components and peripherals.
Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist essential
A+ certification experience
Software and Hardware Troubleshooting
Windows OS experience
Apple, Mac, iPhone, iPad
Routers, switches and firewall experience
Microsoft Office support
TCP/IP
Enterprise Backup Software
Knowledge of SMS, AD, Exchange 2007/2010 and remote-control tools
Knowledge of company software applications

Responsibilities

Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot Windows OS and Microsoft Office, Apple, Mac, iPhone/iPad and other desktop apps.
Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot printers, hardware and peripherals.
Perform preventive maintenance on computers, printers and peripherals.
Perform remedial repairs on computers and printers.
Customize desktop hardware to meet user specifications and site standards.
Manage warranties and spare parts inventory.
Package equipment for shipping and arrange transport to branches.
Monitor and troubleshoot client devices connected to network.
Escalate complex issues to tier 3 support when needed.
Develop trends from incoming calls and support requests.
Provide data and application recovery where needed.
Use diagnostics to troubleshoot network and workstation issues.
Load and configure OS images for deployment.
Track hardware and software inventory.
Educate end users on basic IT operations.
Collaborate with IT teams on branch builds and upgrades.
Follow departmental procedures for fault resolution.
