Job summary

NSC Global is seeking a Desktop Support Field Engineer to join their growing team. The role focuses on maintaining and troubleshooting desktop hardware, Windows and Mac environments, printers, and peripheral devices while supporting user accounts and security groups.

The candidate will perform preventive maintenance, manage inventory, coordinate with Tier 3 for complex issues, and ensure IT operations align with company guidelines and service standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related area or 7+ years of field experience.
• Strong knowledge of PCs and desktop hardware.
• Experience with Windows OS and Microsoft Office.
• Familiar with routers, switches and firewall concepts.
• Proficient in TCP/IP and network troubleshooting.
• Experience with Active Directory and Exchange environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot Windows OS and Microsoft Office, Apple devices and peripherals.
• Perform general preventative maintenance on computers, printers, and peripherals.
• Manage user accounts, rights, security and groups.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and coordinate with Tier 3 as needed.
• Maintain IT records and inventory of hardware/software.
• Ensure proper spare parts levels and shipping/receiving processes.
