Job summary

MBRF is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician in Jeddah to perform preventive, corrective and scheduled maintenance on complex equipment. You will troubleshoot drives, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, read engineering drawings and work closely with production, suppliers and OEMs to minimize downtime.

Role requires hands-on mechanical expertise, ability to use SAP for maintenance records, and adherence to HSE, HACCP and GMP standards.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical/vocational qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of mechanical equipment, drives, lubrication, hydraulic & pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, pneumatic/hydraulic drawings.
• Knowledge of SAP and MS Office; familiar with RCA/PDCA tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective and scheduled maintenance on mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems including motors and drives.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns, identify root causes and minimize downtime.
• Inspect equipment, plan maintenance and spare parts.
• Record issues and work orders in SAP.
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, suppliers and OEMs on repairs.
• Support improvement initiatives using RCA and PDCA.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with HSE, HACCP, GMP, 5S and safety standards.

What will you be doing at MBRF?

• Perform preventive, corrective and scheduled maintenance to ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of mechanical equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including motors, drives and production equipment
• Respond to equipment breakdowns, identify root causes and take actions to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance
• Inspect equipment, identify maintenance needs and support overhaul, preventive maintenance and spare-part planning
• Record equipment issues, maintenance activities and work orders accurately in SAP
• Work closely with Production, Maintenance, suppliers and OEMs on repairs, technical issues and continuous improvement activities
• Support improvement initiatives using tools such as RCA and contribute to solutions for recurring technical issues
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with HSE, food safety, HACCP, GMP, 5S, Food Defense and company safety standards

What kind of profile are we looking for?

• Minimum 2-year technical/vocational qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology or a related field preferably in the Food/FMCG industry
• Strong hands-on knowledge of mechanical equipment, drives, lubrication, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting and repair
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, pneumatic and hydraulic drawings, with knowledge of relevant mechanical codes and standards
• Knowledge of food manufacturing, food safety and HSE practices, including HACCP, GMP and 5S
• Knowledge of SAP and MS Office, with familiarity with problem-solving tools such as RCA and PDCA
• Business-level English proficiency
• Based in Jeddah or willing to relocate to Jeddah, with flexibility to commute to the factory location
