Summit Power Company is seeking a detail-oriented Workshop Job Controller / Operations Coordinator to join our motor, alternator, and transformer rewinding facility in Dammam. You will track all workshop jobs from receipt through completion and dispatch, coordinating with workshop managers, technicians, stores, purchasing and drivers to maintain accurate status updates and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Track all motors, alternators, transformers and other workshop jobs from receipt to completion.
• Maintain accurate status updates for every job in the workshop.
• Coordinate with workshop managers to determine job priorities and assign technicians and workers accordingly.
• Prepare and follow up on required parts, materials, and external services for each job.
• Confirm parts requirements with relevant manager before forwarding requests to stores, purchasing or other departments.
• Monitor job progress and ensure work is completed according to timelines.
• Identify and report delays immediately, including delays caused by parts, manpower, approvals, machining, testing, or technical issues.
• Maintain expected completion dates and communicate changes to management.
• Coordinate completed jobs with workshop manager before release.
• Arrange dispatch and provide required job and delivery information to drivers.
• Ensure no job remains unattended and that every job has a clear next action and responsible person.

We are looking for an organized and technically capable Workshop Job Controller / Operations Coordinator to join our motor, alternator, and transformer rewinding facility.

The role will be responsible for tracking all workshop jobs from receipt through completion and dispatch, while coordinating closely with workshop managers, technicians, stores, purchasing, and drivers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Track all motors, alternators, transformers, and other workshop jobs from receipt to completion.
• Maintain accurate status updates for every job in the workshop.
• Coordinate with workshop managers to determine job priorities and assign technicians and workers accordingly.
• Prepare and follow up on the required parts, materials, and external services for each job.
• Confirm parts requirements with the relevant manager before forwarding requests to stores, purchasing, or other departments.
• Monitor job progress and ensure work is completed according to agreed timelines.
• Identify and report delays immediately, including delays caused by parts, manpower, customer approvals, machining, testing, or technical issues.

The ideal candidate should have:

• Experience in an electric motor, alternator, generator, transformer, industrial maintenance, or repair workshop.
• Good understanding of workshop repair and rewinding processes.
• Strong planning, coordination, and follow up skills.
• Ability to manage multiple jobs and priorities at the same time.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with managers, technicians, stores, purchasing, and drivers.
• Good computer skills, particularly Excel or job-tracking/ERP systems.
• A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail.

Experience with electric motors, bearings, shafts, stators, rotors, windings, insulation, machining, balancing, and electrical testing would be an advantage.

The main objective of this role is to ensure that every workshop job has a clear status, required materials, assigned manpower, next action, and realistic completion date.
