  • Ability to interpret shop drawings, contract drawings, and specifications.
  • Understanding of inspection requests and construction-quality procedures.
  • Experience preparing surveillance and non-conformance reports.
  • Ability to identify defects and recommend appropriate corrective action.
  • Familiarity with multidisciplinary utility and landscape interfaces.
  • Strong site-recording, photography, reporting, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and inspectors.

Responsibilities

  • Attend inspection requests submitted by the contractor.
  • Inspect completed work promptly and record the appropriate response.
  • Assist with reviewing shop drawings against contract drawings and specifications.
  • Check compliance with local codes, statutory requirements, and applicable practices.
  • Verify wet-utility installations against approved methods and construction details.
  • Monitor pipework, fittings, chambers, connections, and associated mechanical components.
  • Inspect public-realm and landscape utility interfaces.
  • Identify work that does not comply with approved drawings or specifications.
  • Report non-compliant activities to relevant engineers and project stakeholders.
  • Monitor workmanship, installation quality, and daily site progress.
  • Maintain records of inspections, completed work, and field observations.
  • Capture progress photographs and organize them for future reference.
  • Prepare surveillance reports for defective or incomplete work.
  • Raise non-conformance reports when required by project procedures.
  • Track observations and corrective actions through verified closure.
