Job summary

Dewan Consultants is seeking a Welding Engineer with strong offshore/onshore fabrication experience for Saudi Arabia-based projects. The role involves supervising welding activities, developing WPS/PQR, and ensuring conformity to codes and project requirements.

The candidate should coordinate with QA/QC, NDT, fabrications, and inspection teams, while maintaining welding documentation and quality records. Offshore/onshore experience and a technical degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in offshore/onshore welding projects within oil & gas or marine fabrication.
• Hands-on experience with WPS/PQR, welding codes, inspection, and quality control.
• Experience coordinating with QA/QC, NDT, fabrication and inspection teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate welding activities for fabrication and construction projects.
• Develop, review, and implement WPS, PQR, and welding procedures.
• Ensure welding activities comply with drawings, specifications, codes, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, fabrication, engineering, and inspection teams.
• Monitor welding quality, consumables, procedures, and welder performance.
• Troubleshoot welding-related technical issues and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure proper execution of welding inspection and testing requirements.
• Monitor welding activities for Decks, Jackets, Subsea Structures, Subsea Pipelines, and Onshore Structures.
• Ensure compliance with project quality and HSE standards.
• Maintain welding documentation, inspection records, and technical reports.

Welding Engineer Offshore / Onshore Fabrication & Demolition

We are looking for an experienced Welding Engineer with strong experience in offshore/onshore fabrication, oil & gas, EPC, marine, and structural fabrication projects for one of our clients based in Saudi Arabia. The candidate should have hands‑on experience in welding activities related to offshore and onshore structures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate welding activities for fabrication and construction projects.
• Develop, review, and implement WPS, PQR, and welding procedures.
• Ensure welding activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, fabrication, engineering, and inspection teams.

• Strong knowledge of WPS/PQR, welding codes, inspection, and quality control.
• Experience coordinating with QA/QC, NDT, fabrication, and inspection teams.
• Good knowledge of welding standards, project specifications, and HSE requirements.
• Engineering degree/diploma in Welding, Mechanical, Metallurgy, or a relevant technical field preferred.
