Job summary

The American International School - Riyadh is seeking a licensed full-time Elementary School Teacher for the 2027-2028 school year. The AIS-R Teacher is expected to inspire thinking, learning and action, and to foster inquisitive, independent, and resilient learners who contribute positively to their communities.

Requirements include a bachelor's degree with a valid teaching certificate, subject-area certification, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree and valid teaching certificate (North American or equivalent certification).
• Certification in subject area and/or grade level is required.
• Master’s degree in Education or related field preferred.
• A proven record of excellence in prior teaching posts for a minimum of two years (full-time, K-12 teaching).
• Expertise in subject matter.
• Fluency in English.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver lessons aligned with AIS-R curricula and teaching standards.
• Maintain effective classroom management and monitor student progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and community to advance AIS-R mission.
• Organize, plan and run clubs/after-school activities as part of co-curriculars.
• Engage in AIS-R professional growth and evaluation processes.
• Communicate with families through conferences and timely progress reports.
• Adhere to school policies, dress code, and safeguarding expectations.
