Job summary

The American International School - Riyadh seeks a licensed full-time Elementary School Teacher for the 2027-2028 school year. The teacher will design and deliver standards-aligned lessons for K-5, assess student progress, and collaborate with colleagues to uphold AIS-R’s core values.

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree with a valid teaching certificate (North American or equivalent), have subject-area certification, and possess English fluency and strong communication.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree and valid teaching certificate (North American or equivalent certification).
• Certification in subject area and/or grade level is required.
• Master’s degree in Education or related field preferred.
• A proven record of excellence in prior teaching posts for a minimum of two years (full-time, K-12 teaching).
• Expertise in subject matter.
• Fluency in English.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Terms of Employment and Additional Responsibilities

Salary is assigned from the Faculty salary schedule; the contract term is 190 days. Compensation will be determined based on the established Faculty salary schedule.

Contractual hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (5:00 pm on Tuesdays)

Faculty are expected to fulfill duties that extend beyond the school day, including commitments to after-school activities (ASAs), after-school learning (ASL), and coaching (requirement for Physical Education teachers).

All PE teachers are required to coach at least one sport in AIS-R’s Athletics program annually.

Learning and Growth: Performance is appraised through the AIS-R Professional Growth and Evaluation framework and in accordance with school policy by the designated Supervisor.
