Job summary

The Tony Blair Institute for Global Change is seeking a Saudi Arabia–based translator to bridge between English and Arabic in a busy business environment, preferably with consultancy experience. You will handle diverse client materials and internal documents with precision and discretion.

You will translate client proposals and presentations, maintain terminology consistency, and collaborate with the Business Development team to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work across projects.

Responsibilities

• Translate between English and Arabic business and technical documents ensuring meaning is retained
• Provide accurate and timely translation of client proposals and presentations, internal documents
• Proofread and edit translations for grammar, spelling, punctuation and formatting
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of linguistic and cultural nuances and ensure adherence to quality standards
• Coordinate with Business Development to translate client proposals and materials
• Liaise with project teams to understand concepts and translate them appropriately
• Work with project managers to understand timelines and deliverables
• Communicate translation progress and updates
• Coordinate with external translation providers when necessary for timely delivery
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Research legal, technical and scientific terminology to ensure accurate translations
• Develop knowledge on specialist translation areas

Role Summary

The ideal candidate will be a Saudi Arabian Citizen and have at least 2 years experience translating client materials between English and Arabic in a business environment preferably in Management Consultancy or other professional services You will have the opportunity to work on varied and interesting projects which will support your career development and learning If you are keen to work in a unique and impact driven organisation and are also deadline driven organised and have a good understanding of content please read on

Key Responsibilities

• Professionally translating between English and Arabic business and technical documents ensuring that the meaning of the source text is retained
• including Provide accurate and timely translation of a wide range of documents from both Arabic to English and English to Arabic maintaining the original meaning tone and context
• Documents to translate include client proposals and presentations internal presentations and other business related documentation
• Proofread and edit translations for grammar spelling punctuation and formatting
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of linguistic and cultural nuances in both languages to ensure accurate translation and adhere to industry quality standards to ensure all work follows legal and ethical obligations
• Work with the Business Development team to translate client proposals and other relevant materials
• Liaise with project teams to understand specialized concepts and translate them appropriately
• Work closely with project managers and other team members to understand project needs timelines and deliverables
• Communicate efficiently and provide translation progress updates
• Coordinate with external translation providers if necessary to ensure timely and accurate delivery of work
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in a professional manner
• Research legal technical and scientific phraseology to find the correct translation
• Retain and develop knowledge on specialist areas of translation
