RISE TO THE CHALLENGE

Philip Morris KSA Trading Company is looking for a Territory Supervisor to join the team. As a Territory Supervisor, you will be part of the Commercial team, reporting to the Territory Lead. This position will be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Territory Supervisor role is responsible for managing the sales, distribution, and marketing activities for multiple product categories across various sales channels (Wholesale, Key Accounts, and General Trade) within a designated territory in Saudi Arabia. This role is crucial for driving sales growth, optimizing distribution channels, and ensuring effective implementation of promotional strategies. Working closely with distributor sales teams and key stakeholders to meet and exceed sales targets while adhering to company standards and regulatory requirements.

YOUR 'DAY TO DAY'
SALES & MULTI-CATEGORY MANAGEMENT
  • Develop and implement sales strategies for multiple product categories, ensuring the growth of each category in the market.
  • Monitor and analyze category performance, identifying opportunities for growth and taking corrective actions to meet targets.
  • Conduct regular market visits to ensure optimal product placement, availability, and promotion effectiveness for all categories.
CHANGE MANAGEMENT
  • Manage sales and distribution activities across the designed territory including Wholesale, Key Accounts, and General Trade.
  • Tailor sales strategies for each channel, ensuring that the unique needs and challenges of each are addressed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in each channel to maximize product penetration and market share.
  • Oversee the execution of trade marketing and promotional activities, adapting strategies to the specific requirements of each channel.
DISTRIBUTION OVERSIGHT
  • Ensure efficient and effective distribution of products across the territory, optimizing stock levels and minimizing out-of-stock situations.
  • Monitor distributor performance and ensure adherence to service level agreements.
  • Collaborate with distributors to solve challenges related to distribution and sales, suggest efficient route planning and provide training and support.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with the company’s distribution and merchandising standards.
IMPLEMENTATION OF MARKETING CALENDAR
  • Coordinate and execute marketing campaigns and commercial activities for all product categories and sales channels.
  • Ensure that marketing materials are effectively deployed and visible at key retail points.
  • Gather feedback on commercial activities and provide actionable insights to improve future campaigns.
TEAM COLLABORATION & LEADERSHIP
  • Work closely with the distributor sales teams to align efforts with company objectives and provide support for achieving sales targets.
  • Coach and train direct team as well as distributor sales teams to enhance their selling skills and overall productivity.
  • Monitor the performance of distributor sales teams across various channels and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities.
REPORTING & DATA ANALYSIS
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports on sales performance, category growth, market trends, and competitive activities across all channels.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, forecast sales, and make informed decisions to adjust strategies.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to the regional management team on how to improve sales performance across channels and categories.
  • Share periodical reports on the progress of the commercial activities implementation.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • KSA National
  • Professional Experience: 3+ years of experience in commercial roles, with a focus on multi-category management and channel sales (Wholesale, Key Accounts, General Trade).
  • Industry Background: Proven experience in managing distributor relationships and collaborating with sales teams within the FMCG or tobacco sectors, ideally with a leading multinational company.
  • Language Proficiency: Excellent command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Local Market Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the Saudi market, with a strong grasp of retail and distribution dynamics (preferred).
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experienced in using sales analysis tools.
  • Interpersonal & Leadership Skills: Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Travel Flexibility: Open to frequent travel within the assigned territory.
