Job summary

Libera Consultants is seeking a Senior Manager – Technical in Saudi Arabia to lead strategic and technical oversight of fleet equipment, maintenance, and reliability across offshore rig operations.

The role directs Technical Support, Well Control, and Maintenance & Reliability, driving budgets, SAP CMMS deployment, and long-term integrity across the fleet, including field support and capital equipment management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• Minimum 15 years' experience in Oil & Gas with 5+ years in a Technical Managerial role.
• Proven leadership in offshore technical troubleshooting, maintenance and project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead Technical Support, Well Control, and Maintenance & Reliability strategy and standards.
• Manage department budgets, resources, and tools.
• Oversee SAP CMMS implementation and standardized maintenance practices fleet-wide.
• Direct offshore Field Support teams for rig-based mechanical, electrical, and well control integrity.
• Develop 5-year equipment inspection and maintenance philosophies.
• Provide strategic technical input into annual maintenance budgets.
• Lead equipment downtime investigations and corrective actions.
• Support SPS, reactivation, and upgrade projects across the fleet.

We are conducting a search on behalf of a major offshore drilling operator in Saudi Arabia for a Senior Manager – Technical to lead strategic and technical oversight of fleet equipment, maintenance, and reliability across offshore rig operations.

Role Overview:

This role owns the strategic and technical direction of the fleet's maintenance and reliability function — spanning CMMS, well control, Field Support, and capital equipment management — while driving compliance, longevity, and continuous improvement initiatives across the offshore asset base.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Technical Support, Well Control, and Maintenance & Reliability department strategy, goals, and standards
• Manage department budgets, resources, and tools
• Oversee SAP CMMS implementation and standardized maintenance practices fleet-wide
