Job summary

KONE is seeking a Team Leader for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to lead on-site installation teams and ensure safe, high-quality elevator and escalator service. You will coordinate with Field Supervisors, manage equipment handling, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining strict safety standards.

The role calls for strong leadership, bilingual communication, and extensive experience in on-site project execution, particularly with high-rise installations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or ITI in electrical/electronics/automation or related.
• 5–7 years in elevator/escalator industry with high-rise project exposure.
• Proficient in English and Arabic, strong verbal and written skills.
• Strong leadership and on-site supervision capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety on site by applying clear safety practices and STOP/GO principles.
• Maintain day-to-day on-site communication with the customer and Field Supervisor.
• Oversee equipment installation environment during activities.
• Receive, check, and store materials; ensure secure handling of equipment.
• Perform installations according to predefined methods and schedules.
• Report installation progress to the Field Supervisor and keep tools in good condition.
• Encourage quality feedback and contribute to product/process improvements.
• Respond swiftly to unexpected events via Field Supervisor and apply lean principles.

We are looking for Team Leader with a service mindset to provide professional service to our customers in the Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

In this role, you will be at the core of KONE - an everyday hero who makes people's lives easier.

You will work towards ensuring quality service, improving equipment safety and performance as well as promoting regular and proactive on-site communication to the customer and the people using the equipment. As a team leader, you will be responsible to drive and execute the VA & VB repair activities and manage a team of technicians.

What will you do?

• Caring about safety on site by applying good safety practices highlighting proactive risk identification and STOP and GO principles
• Manage on-site communication with the customer for day to day installation activities with a continuous coordination with the Field Supervisor.
• Manages the equipment installation environment during installation activities.
• Performs the reception, checking and storage of materials. Ensures the security of the delivered equipment by means of correct storage and site handling.
• Carries out the installation according to pre-determined method instruction and schedule
• Responsible for high quality and timely installation of the equipment following KONE installation methods throughout the installation process described mainly in AM instructions.
• Is responsible for reporting installation progress to the Field supervisor.
• Keeps the installation tooling safe and in good condition.
• Promotes quality feedback forms and proactive contributes to the ongoing improvement of the product by feedback to the supply line.
• Fast reaction to unexpected events by communication to Field Supervisor.
• Apply lean principles to avoid interruptions at work and consistently follow and promote huddles initiatives.

Are you the one?

• Hold Diploma in Engineering or ITI/Vocational Certification in Electrical, Electronics, Automation, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of proven experience in the elevator and escalator industry, including significant involvement in high-rise projects.
• Proficient in both English and Arabic, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership capabilities with experience in managing and supervising on-site teams.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and negotiate with contractors, clients, and key stakeholders.
• High attention to detail with a focus on design accuracy, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
