Job summary

Otis Elevator Company Saudi Arabia Ltd is seeking a Quality Assurance role to create and implement an effective QC/QA program. You will inspect products at worksites, define field processes, and test units with the client’s inspection team before handover.

The role emphasizes developing and applying quality standards, coordinating with Otis and client teams, and improving processes to meet global standards. Saudi nationals preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Business Administration or equivalent.
• Certification such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in engineering operations within the vertical transportation industry.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains quality evaluation, control systems and protocols for materials processed into finished products at major project worksites.
• Serves as primary QA resource for problem identification, resolution and continuous improvement.
• Reviews quality requirements for manufacturing planning, supplier POs, and engineering specs to ensure contract compliance.
• Devises testing plans and methods to assure reliability of product installations.
• Inspects parts and supplies at work sites to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Coords with client inspection teams and Otis QA teams to deploy best practices locally.
• Designs and delivers training on quality standards and activities.
• Participates in internal and external quality audits.

Role Overview

The role holder is responsible for creating and implementing an effective quality control and assurance program that focuses on inspecting products at worksites, defining field operational processes and manages the testing of the units with the client’s inspection team before handover. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures.

Core Responsibilities

Develops, applies and maintains quality evaluation, control systems and protocols for materials being processed into partially finished or finished products at major project worksites. Serves as the primary quality assurance resource to department working for problem identification, resolution, and continuous improvement. Reviews and approves quality requirements for manufacturing planning, supplier purchase orders, and engineering specifications to ensure contract compliance. Devises testing plans and methods to assure reliability of product installations. Inspects parts and supplies delivered at work sites to ensure compliance with product specifications and contractual agreements. Develops, applies and maintains quality standards for all field operation activities. Designs and implements methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection. Performs root cause analysis and recommends corrective actions and process reengineering to ensure that operational metrics are maintained as per the globally defined standards for Otis products and services. Develops and implements quality system, and maintains them through internal audit ensuring compliance with set processes. Coordinates with client’s inspection teams and quality assurance teams within Otis globally to identify best practices and deploy them locally. Designs and delivers training material on quality standards and activities. Participates in internal and external quality audits. Updates safety policies and procedures when required.

Minimum Qualifications
