Job summary

Traverse Health is seeking a hands-on System Administrator to manage our servers, workplace technology, user access, and cloud infrastructure in Riyadh. You will help maintain a secure, reliable IT environment and provide responsive user support.

The role covers Linux/Windows server administration, user lifecycle management, RBAC, and cloud platforms (GCP/Huawei). Knowledge of Ansible and Terragrunt is a plus, with a focus on automation and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Administer Linux- and Windows-based servers, virtual machines, and Windows workstations.
• Provision, modify, and deprovision user accounts throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot user access, authentication, VPN, connectivity, and system availability issues.
• Administer roles, permissions, and RBAC, including within IRIS and Apache Superset.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of systems, accounts, owners, access privileges, and licenses.
• Manage Microsoft 365 accounts, licenses, groups, and access policies.
• Monitor server and workstation health, storage, availability, and outages.
• Verify backups and recovery readiness.
• Support containerized environments; assist with Kubernetes administration where applicable.
• Support infrastructure hosted on Google Cloud Platform and Huawei Cloud.

Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on System Administrator to manage our servers, workplace technology, user access, cloud infrastructure, and core business systems. The successful candidate will help maintain a secure, reliable, and well-documented IT environment while providing responsive support to users.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer Linux- and Windows-based servers, virtual machines, and Windows workstations.
• Provision, modify, and deprovision user accounts throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot user access, authentication, VPN, connectivity, and system availability issues.
• Administer roles, permissions, and role-based access controls, including within IRIS and Apache Superset.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of:
• Systems and infrastructure assets
• User and administrative accounts
• System owners and administrators
• Access privileges and credential ownership
• Workstations, servers, virtual machines, and software licenses
• Manage Microsoft 365 accounts, licenses, groups, and access policies.
• Monitor server and workstation health, performance, storage capacity, availability, and outages.
• Verify backup completion and periodically confirm recovery readiness.
• Support containerized environments; assist with Kubernetes administration where applicable.
• Support infrastructure hosted on cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform and Huawei Cloud.
• Use or learn infrastructure automation tools, including Ansible and Terragrunt.
• Coordinate with cloud, VPN, software, hardware, and other technology vendors.
• Manage software licenses, renewals, usage, and allocation.
• Provide secure remote support using tools such as AnyDesk.
• Maintain technical documentation, operating procedures, system records, and the internal knowledge base.
• Identify opportunities to automate routine administration and improve security, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Participate in incident response and infrastructure maintenance activities when required.

Required Qualifications

• Professional experience in system administration or IT infrastructure support.
• Practical knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Experience with user account administration, permissions, and access troubleshooting.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, VPNs, authentication, storage, backups, and system monitoring.
• Ability to diagnose technical problems methodically and communicate solutions clearly.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
• Ability to work on-site in Riyadh.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with containers and basic Kubernetes administration.
• Exposure to Google Cloud Platform, Huawei Cloud, or a comparable cloud platform.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code or configuration-management tools, particularly Ansible and Terragrunt.
• Programming or scripting experience using Bash, PowerShell, Python, or a similar language.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 and business intelligence platforms.
• Familiarity with IT asset, license, vendor, and knowledge-base management.
• Knowledge of security best practices, least-privilege access, and backup recovery procedures.
