Job summary

Total Safety EMEA is seeking a procurement and logistics professional to optimize sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management. The role focuses on ensuring best price, on-time delivery, and quality for all purchases while coordinating with production and departments to meet customer needs.

You will obtain quotes, negotiate discounts, place timely POs, monitor supplier performance, and manage import/export documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in procurement & logistics.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or business administration or relevant field is preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Knowledge and experience of local regulations related to Supply Chain.

Responsibilities

• Ensure best price, delivery, and quality through effective purchasing.
• Ensure POs are placed in a timely manner to achieve deadlines.
• Obtain quotes from different suppliers and negotiate discounts where possible.
• Determine cost-effective quantities to purchase and bulk to secure volume discounts.
• Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality and on-time delivery.
• Develop relationships with key suppliers.
• Liaise with staff responsible for production and materials control to ensure awareness of deliveries.
• Liaise with Department managers to understand and meet customer needs.
• Explore and maximize usage of Rentalman for purchasing, including PO clauses.

Job description

• Ensure that the best possible price, delivery, and quality are obtained for the company through effective purchasing.
• Ensure POs are placed in a timely manner to achieve the required deadlines.
• Obtain quotes from different suppliers and determine the most appropriate suppliers to purchase from, seeking to negotiate discounts where possible.
• Determine the most cost-effective quantities to purchase items in, purchasing in bulk where appropriate to secure any relevant volume discounts and avoid excessive shipping charges.
• Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality and on-time delivery and liaise with supplier to address any issues noted.
• Develop relationships with key suppliers.
• Liaise with staff responsible for production and materials control, to ensure they are aware of upcoming goods deliveries.
• Liaise with Department managers regularly to understand and help them meet customer needs.
• Explore and develop the purchasing functionality in Rentalman and ensure it is being used to maximum effect (e.g. implementation of PO clauses etc.)
• Obtain quotes and select relevant transportation options (air/sea/road) as appropriate.
• Prepare a compliant import and export documentation for all incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Maintain accurate records of all imports and exports.
• Undertake other related duties as required.
