Job summary

Jumeirah Jabal Omar is seeking a Steward Supervisor to oversee stewarding operations across all shifts, ensuring smooth daily workflow and service continuity in our hotel. You will lead and support Team Leaders, enforce hygiene standards, coordinate equipment maintenance with Engineering, and monitor costs while maintaining par stocks and safety.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years in stewarding, prior supervisory experience, and a strong knowledge of back-of-house processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Stewarding operations within a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role is required.
• Strong knowledge of stewarding operations, equipment handling, hygiene standards, and back-of-house processes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate stewarding operations across all shifts to ensure smooth daily workflow and service continuity.
• Ensure all kitchen and back-of-house areas meet prescribed cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies, SOPs, health & safety, and environmental regulations.
• Lead, guide, and support Team Leaders and stewarding colleagues to achieve departmental objectives and service excellence.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules for stewarding equipment in collaboration with Engineering Department.
• Oversee the proper and safe use of stewarding machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Control operational costs through effective breakage control, loss prevention, and economical use of chemicals and supplies.
• Review inventory levels, maintain par stocks, and approve cleaning supplies and chemical requisitions before escalation.

Main duties and responsibilities of this role

• Supervise and coordinate stewarding operations across all shifts to ensure smooth daily workflow and service continuity
• Ensure all kitchen and Food amp Beverage back-of-house areas consistently meet prescribed cleanliness hygiene and sanitation standards
• Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies SOPs Health amp Safety and environmental regulations
• Lead guide and support Team Leaders and stewarding colleagues to achieve departmental objectives and service excellence
• Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules for stewarding equipment in collaboration with the Engineering Department
