Job summary

Vanderlande in Saudi Arabia seeks a Senior Planning Engineer to lead detailed project schedules with Primavera P6 and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams across EPC, airport, BHS and MHS projects.

You will monitor progress, prepare dashboards and reports, mentor junior planners, and promote planning best practices while ensuring baseline schedules and critical path analyses are delivered with quality.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in planning and project controls, preferably large-scale infrastructure, EPC, airport, BHS or MHS projects.
• Advanced expertise in Primavera P6; MS Excel; knowledge of MS Project and Power BI preferred.
• Strong baseline scheduling, resource planning, critical path analysis, delay analysis, EOT prep and schedule optimization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, including WBS, milestones, baselines, and critical path analysis.
• Coordinate schedules with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation, and Commissioning teams.
• Monitor project progress and update schedules weekly and monthly.
• Prepare progress reports, dashboards, S-curves, histograms, earned value analysis, and look-ahead schedules.
• Identify schedule risks, delays, slippages, and recommend mitigation, recovery, and acceleration plans.
• Review subcontractor schedules and monitor performance against approved programmes.
• Analyze delays and disruptions and support EOT and delay analysis requirements.
• Support tender planning by preparing bid schedules and resource-loaded programmes.
• Present schedule performance, risks, and corrective actions during project review meetings.
• Mentor Planning Engineers and Coordinators and review their planning deliverables for accuracy and quality.
• Promote consistent planning standards, reporting methods, and continuous improvement across projects.

What do I need to qualify for the role?

• 10 + years of experience in planning and project controls, preferably in large-scale infrastructure, EPC, airport, BHS, or MHS projects.
• Advanced expertise in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Microsoft Project and Power BI is preferred.
• Strong experience in baseline scheduling, resource planning, critical path analysis, delay analysis, EOT preparation, and schedule optimization.
• Experience preparing management reports, dashboards, S-curves, histograms, and project presentations.
• Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to mentor junior planning team members and work effectively in multicultural, multidisciplinary environments.
