Job summary

HanmiGlobal Saudi is seeking a seasoned Planning Engineer to develop, monitor, and update project schedules, ensuring on-time delivery. You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, perform critical path analyses, and provide progress reports and forecasts to support decision-making.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and has at least 15 years of experience in planning and scheduling for large-scale construction or infrastructure projects, with strong Primavera P6

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
• Strong knowledge of project controls, risk management, and construction workflows.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
• Experience on large-scale Middle East projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Monitor progress and performance against planned schedules.
• Identify delays and risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders for progress data.
• Prepare regular reports, forecasts, and schedule analyses.
• Conduct critical path analysis and recommend timeline optimizations.
• Assist in resource planning and allocation.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, standards, and contracts.
• Evaluate variations, claims, and extensions of time (EOT).

Summary of the Role:

The Planning Engineer will play a critical role in developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules to ensure timely and efficient project delivery. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using industry-standard planning tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Monitor project progress and performance against planned schedules.
• Identify potential delays and risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to gather accurate progress data.
• Prepare regular reports including progress updates, schedule analysis, and forecasts.
• Conduct critical path analysis and provide recommendations to optimize timelines.
• Support project management in resource planning and allocation.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, standards, and contractual obligations.
• Assist in evaluating variations, claims, and extensions of time (EOT).

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related field).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably within construction or infrastructure projects.
