Job summary

Red Sea Global Hospitality is seeking a Shift Engineer to ensure safe, efficient operation of hotel plants, HVAC, and related systems. The role focuses on high standards of engineering and guest safety while supporting a values-led culture in a luxury hospitality setting.

You will work under the Engineering Manager, coordinating with departments and external contractors to maintain equipment reliability and guest comfort across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in hotel building services and facilities management.
• Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems typically found in hotels.
• Ability to coordinate with external contractors and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute the daily work schedule and manage planned maintenance and guest requests.
• Collaborate with other operational departments to improve performance.
• Inspect and maintain mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems including AC, water, and fire safety.
• Communicate with hotel departments to ensure smooth operation of equipment.
• Coordinate with external contractors and assist inspectors as directed.

The Role

As a Shift Engineer, your role is to serve the needs of the business, our guests, and our colleagues by ensuring efficient and safe running of all hotel plants, equipment, air-conditioning and other systems. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all the engineering and maintenance activities of the hotel are conducted to the highest professional standards at all times, with guest comfort and safety being the highest priority.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

Please note that the responsibilities outlined below are not exhaustive. Red Sea Global Hospitality employees continuously innovate in caring for the needs of the business, their guests, and their colleagues. As a Shift Engineer you will need to:

• Execute the daily work schedule, manage scheduled maintenance, and address guest requests and emergencies.
• Collaborate with other operational departments to enhance their performance.
• Inspect and maintain all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumping services such as air conditioning, water, and fire safety systems in the hotel to meet the necessary standards.
• Communicate closely with all hotel departments to ensure the proper functioning of their equipment to ensure operational smoothness.
• Coordinate with external contractors on behalf of the hotel and assist external inspectors during inspections as instructed by the Assistant Director of Engineering/Engineering Supervisor.
• Fulfill any other necessary tasks to ensure seamless operations.
