Job summary

Kent is seeking a Senior Supply Chain/Procurement Specialist to join our growing engineering team within the Oil & Gas market in Khobar, Saudi Arabia. This pivotal opportunity will shape a new and expanding function, strengthen our technical capability, and enhance Kent’s presence in the sector.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
  • CIPS certification beneficial.
  • 7+ years in procurement or supply chain.
  • Strong purchase-to-pay and supplier management knowledge.
  • Experience with procurement tools and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

  • Execute procurement activities including subcontracts, materials and services.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations and manage vendor relationships.
  • Support contract negotiations and ensure policy compliance.
  • Post-award management of subcontracts and procurement packages.
  • Assist in procurement reporting and track performance vs objectives.
  • Provide technical support and drive process improvement.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Description for Internal Candidates

Role scope

To manage critical procurement activities, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This role involves contract negotiations, supplier management, and procurement strategy execution. The incumbent works closely with project teams to align procurement efforts with business needs, identifies cost-saving opportunities, and ensures compliance with procurement regulations and policies. They also support procurement reporting and analytics, track market trends, and assist in supplier performance evaluations.

Details / responsibilities
  • Execute procurement activities, ensuring cost-effective and timely acquisition of subcontracts, materials and services
  • Conduct supplier evaluations and manage vendor relationships
  • Support contract negotiations and ensure compliance with procurement policies
  • Post-award management of assigned subcontracts and procurement packages
  • Assist in procurement reporting and tracking performance against objectives
  • Provide technical support to procurement teams and contribute to process improvements
  • Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Certification such as CIPS or equivalent is beneficial
  • 7+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Strong understanding of purchase-to-pay processes and supplier management.
  • Experience with procurement tools and ERP systems.
  • Ability to identify cost‑saving opportunities and manage procurement risks.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
