Job summary

Kent is seeking a Pipefitter based in Khobar to fabricate, assemble and install piping systems according to blueprints and drawings. You will work with engineers and QA/QC inspectors to ensure compliance with standards and project timelines while maintaining equipment and documenting work packs and weld maps.

The role emphasizes reading Isometric and P&ID drawings, adhering to HSSEQ guidelines, and collaborating with the construction management team in a dynamic environment on major energy

Qualifications

  • Certificate III Engineering – Fabrication Trade required or equivalent.
  • Experience with carbon steel, stainless steel, CrMo and Inconel materials.
  • Experience in large and small bore piping.
  • Ability to read and understand Isometric and P&ID Drawings.
  • Reading Isometric and P&ID Drawings is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate piping per blueprints, drawings, and specifications ensuring proper fit.
  • Assemble and install fixtures such as valves, fittings, and hangers to ensure piping system functionality.
  • Follow quality control systems and techniques.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and standards to complete tasks accurately.
  • Maintain and care for equipment and tools to keep them in good condition.
  • Collaborate with engineers, QA/QC inspectors, and construction management to meet timelines.
  • Keep detailed records of work performed and related tags.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

About the job:

Kent is looking for a Pipefitter to be based in Khobar

Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Be a self-starter and able to work both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Fabricate piping via various methods including cutting, threading, roll groove and bevelling of prespooled and stick built piping to blueprints, drawings, and specifications, ensuring they fit together seamlessly
  • Assemble and install various fixtures, such as valves, fittings, and hangers/pipe supports, to ensure proper functionality of the piping system
  • Follow quality control systems and techniques
  • Interpret engineering and detailed fabrication drawings, specifications and standards to complete tasks accurately
  • Ability to mark out and measure accurately
  • Demonstrate a commitment to workplace safety and the safety of your co-workers
  • Maintain and care for equipment, tools, and machinery, ensuring they are in proper working condition
  • Collaborate with other team members, including engineers, QA/QC inspectors, and construction management team, to achieve project goals and timelines
  • Keep detailed records of work performed: including, Flange Management & Fit up tags, Work packs and Weld maps
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices to enhance skills and knowledge

Your knowledge/ Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Certificate III Engineering – Fabrication Trade – Boilermaker or Equivalent
  • Experience with carbon steel, stainless steel, CrMo and Inconel materials
  • Experience in large and small bore piping
  • Be able to read and understand Isometric and P&ID Drawings
  • Certificate III Engineering Fabrication Boiler-making/Welding
  • Certificate III Heavy Metal Fabrication Trade and Welding
  • Certificate III Welding
  • Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade

Communication:

  • Good command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.
