Job summary

Saipem in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Buyer to join the Supply Chain Department within Procurement. You will support purchasing goods and services, ensuring cost, time and quality targets while complying with policies.

Based in Dhahran with some travel to the Middle East and Europe, the role requires a Saudi national with 2–3 years’ experience in oil and gas as a buyer; English and Arabic fluency; SAP knowledge a plus; strong negotiation and Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Economics.
• Saudi national with 2–3 years’ Buyer experience in Oil & Gas / EPC.
• Proficient in English and Arabic; SAP knowledge a plus; familiar with procurement processes and incoterms.

Responsibilities

• Issue RFQ to vendors based on purchasing requests.
• Support vendors during preparation of technical/commercial proposals; maintain confidentiality.
• Lead commercial/economic negotiations with suppliers.
• Prepare purchase orders/subcontracts according to terms and project conditions; manage deviations.
• Archive contractual documentation and maintain centralized records.

Purpose of the position: As [Buyer] you will be part of the [Supply Chain Department] within [Procurement] You will support [the activities necessary to purchase goods and/or services/subcontracts, in compliance with given cost/time/quality requirements and with Corporate/Company policies and standards and work instructions].

How can you support us?

• Strong interpersonal skills to work with team members, clients and suppliers
• Issue to vendors the Request for Quotation based on given purchasing request
• Support the vendors during the preparation of the technical/commercial proposals with obligation of confidentiality about the related bid info
• Lead the commercial/economic negotiation
• Prepare the purchase order/subcontract based on standard General Purchase Terms and Conditions and Project Special Purchase Conditions, if any, and managing possible deviations.
• Manage contractual documentation (Archive) before the issue to centralized archive

What are we looking for?

Education: Bachelor’s degree in: [Engineering, Supply Chain, Economics]

Background: [Applicant must be Saudi National with 2 to 3 years’ experience] as a Buyer, with Oil and Gas Company / EPC Contractor

Languages: English and Arabic

• Technical Knowledge: Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency. Knowledge of SAP is a plus point. Must be familiar with the Procurement process and incoterms.

What else should you know? Position will be based in Dhahran, KSA. Some travelling will be expected within [Middle East & Europe].
