Job summary

Bin Omairah Company in Saudi Arabia seeks a Senior Supply Chain Manager to lead procurement, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, and material mobilization across EPC projects. You will work with Contracts, Engineering, Planning, Finance, and Quality to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and asset protection.

The role requires 15–18 years in supply chain domains with at least 3 years in senior management, strong supplier networks, and proficiency in English; Arabic is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, SCM, Procurement, Logistics, Business Admin or related field.
  • 15–18 years of progressive experience in SCM, Procurement, Logistics or Materials Management.
  • At least 3 years in a managerial/senior management role, preferably in infrastructure/ EPC or construction.
  • Strong experience in procurement, sourcing, logistics, warehousing, inventory, and materials management in project environments.
  • Extensive network with manufacturers, suppliers, subcontractors, and logistics providers.
  • Understanding of commercial, contractual, financial, and legal aspects of supply chain activities.
  • Fluent English; Arabic proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies covering procurement, purchasing, logistics, warehousing, and inventory management.
  • Lead sourcing, selection, evaluation, and management of suppliers and subcontractors to ensure quality, cost, reliability, and timely delivery.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Planning, Contracts, Finance, Quality, Logistics, and Project teams to align with project requirements and schedules.
  • Monitor supplier and subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with quality, delivery, commercial, and contractual requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers, manufacturers, subcontractors, and logistics providers.
  • Oversee material planning, purchasing, delivery, mobilization, and demobilization across projects.
  • Ensure effective warehouse management, including storage, handling, security, preservation, and tracking of materials and assets.
  • Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock while minimizing excess, obsolete, or damaged materials.
  • Oversee transfers between projects, warehouses, and company locations; coordinate logistics plans with transportation partners.
  • Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans to minimize disruption.

Job Summary

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the organization's supply chain activities, including procurement, purchasing, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, and material mobilization, ensuring the availability of materials, equipment, and services in line with project requirements.

The role works closely with internal stakeholders including Contracts, Engineering, Planning, Quality, Logistics, Finance, and Project Management, as well as suppliers, manufacturers, transporters, and subcontractors, to ensure timely delivery, quality, cost efficiency, and effective supply chain performance.

The position will also be responsible for safeguarding company assets and materials, optimizing inventory levels, managing supplier and subcontractor relationships, and ensuring effective coordination between corporate functions and project sites.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies covering procurement, purchasing, logistics, warehousing, and inventory management.
  • Lead the sourcing, selection, evaluation, and management of suppliers and subcontractors to ensure optimum quality, cost, reliability, and timely delivery.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Planning, Contracts, Finance, Quality, Logistics, and Project teams to ensure materials and services are aligned with project requirements and schedules.
  • Monitor supplier and subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with agreed quality, delivery, commercial, and contractual requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers, manufacturers, subcontractors, and logistics providers.
  • Oversee material planning, purchasing, delivery, mobilization, and demobilization activities across projects.
  • Ensure effective warehouse management, including proper storage, handling, security, preservation, and tracking of materials and assets.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimum stock availability while minimizing excess, obsolete, damaged, or expired materials.
  • Oversee the transfer and movement of materials and equipment between projects, warehouses, and other company locations.
  • Ensure effective execution of logistics plans in coordination with suppliers, subcontractors, transportation companies, and project teams.
  • Monitor and control material returns, damaged materials, replacements, warranty claims, and related commercial matters in coordination with the Contracts Department.
  • Identify supply chain risks and develop appropriate mitigation and contingency plans to minimize disruption to project execution.
  • Monitor supply chain performance, costs, delivery schedules, and key performance indicators, providing regular reports to senior management.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization, process improvement, digitalization, and supply chain efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, approved procurement procedures, contractual requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Lead, develop, and manage the Supply Chain team to ensure effective performance, accountability, and service delivery.
  • Support project teams in resolving critical supply, material, logistics, and subcontractor-related issues.
  • Ensure company materials, equipment, and other supply chain assets are properly controlled, protected, and efficiently utilized.
  • Provide supply chain insights and recommendations to senior management to support business and project decisions.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 15–18 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, or Materials Management, with at least 3 years in a managerial/senior management role, preferably within leading Infrastructure, EPC, or Construction companies.
  • Strong experience in procurement, sourcing, logistics, warehousing, inventory, and materials management within project-based environments.
  • Strong established network and relationships with major manufacturers, suppliers, subcontractors, and logistics providers.
  • Strong understanding of commercial, contractual, financial, and legal aspects of supply chain activities within the infrastructure/construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of supplier and subcontractor management and performance evaluation.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively lead cross-functional teams.
  • MBA, FIDIC, CIPS, CSCP, CLTD, or other relevant professional certification is preferred.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or other ERP systems is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Arabic is preferred.
  • Experience working in a multicultural and multinational environment is preferred.
