Job summary

Wood is seeking a Senior Supply Chain professional in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia to lead end-to-end sourcing and delivery of major procurement packages. You will optimise supplier performance, manage ASR processes, and guide cross-functional teams to align with project execution plans.

The role requires a minimum 7 years in supply chain, strong negotiation skills, and experience with ERP systems, contracts, and supplier relationship management within large-scale projects. On-site work is expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for successful delivery of all supply chain activities
  • End-to-end sourcing process for major procurement/subcontract packages
  • Provide guidance and support to reporting personnel
  • Guide stakeholders on contractual obligations
  • Ensure activities comply with project execution plan and budgets
  • Develop processes and procedures and communicate them
  • Update PSR with project/client dates and lead times
  • Attend PSR meetings with client and project management
  • Establish priorities and manage direct reports
  • Utilise Wood ASR and supplier registers for evaluation and selection
  • Carry out supplier performance reviews and corrective actions
  • Ensure statutory and legal compliance and auditable actions
  • Mentor direct reports in processes and procedures
  • Promote safe working practices and safety leadership

Job Description

Wood is looking for a Senior Supply Chian to join our team in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities
  • Accountable for the successful delivery of all supply chain activities that they are responsible for.
  • Responsible for the end to end sourcing process (Strategy through Close Out) for the major procurement/subcontract packages assigned to them.
  • Provides guidance, direction and support to the reporting personnel in delivery of their specific responsibilities.
  • Provides guidance, direction and support to all relevant stakeholders on both Woods and the suppliers specific contractual obligations and responsibilities.
  • Ensures all supply chain activities are carried out in accordance with the project execution plan/schedule and/or contracting strategy, within approved budgets and in line with project processes and procedures.
  • Assisting with development of processes and procedures, and communication to relevant personnel.
  • Update the project / procurement status report (PSR) in line with project / client required on site dates and current / estimate lead times, notifying any delays to the supply chain lead.
  • Attend regular PSR meetings with client, engineering and/or project management personnel to ensure dates for pre-order deliverables within their portfolio are being maintained.
  • Establishes priorities, assigns workloads and reviews tasks as assigned to direct reports.
  • Utilisation of Wood Approved Supplier Register (ASR) supplemented when required by project/client approved supplier registers for supplier evaluation, audit, and selection.
  • Carry out Supplier performance reviews and ongoing management ensuring corrective actions are taken where required.
  • Ensure that all statutory and legal requirements and procedures are complied with and all actions are fully auditable.
  • Ensures that direct reports have a clear understanding of their role, supply chain processes and procedures and provides guidance, direction and support.
  • Promote safe working practices and demonstrate safety leadership at all times.
  • Understands and lives Woods vision, values and behaviours.
  • Understands and works to the Wood Financial Management Framework.
  • Assist in applying robust performance management and development plans for direct reports.
  • Capture all internal and external in year savings targets as per business plan.
  • Assist in the implementation of global/regional/country initiatives as per business plans.
Qualifications

Educated to ISCED Level 6 (Bachelor Degree or Equivalent), CIPS qualified or industry equivalent.

Record of skills training appropriate for job specific role.
