Job summary

Wood is seeking an Area Lead – Mine Facilities to support its Projects business in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on developing a new gold mining and processing facility during construction and pre-commissioning phases, with initial office-based work in Al Khobar, Riyadh or Jubail before mobilising to site on an 8/2 rotation.

The candidate will lead civil, structural, mechanical and E&I works, manage contractors and ensure HSE, schedule and quality requirements are met during all project phases.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership capabilities in large-scale mining or oil & gas projects.
• Strong coordination across civil, structural, mechanical and E&I disciplines.
• Experience with safety, quality, and project schedules.

Responsibilities

This role will play a key part in the development of a new gold mining and processing facility during the construction and pre-commissioning phases. The position may initially be office-based in Al Khobar, Riyadh, or Jubail, prior to mobilising to a site-based assignment in Saudi Arabia on an 8/2 rotation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 15 years of relevant industry experience
• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• Experience working in Mining infrastructure projects OR Oil & Gas industrial facilities and infrastructure developments.
