Job summary

Trading and Development Partnership is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead testing and commissioning of EHV/HV substations in the Riyadh region. The role focuses on validating protective relays, SCADA systems, IEC 61850, and substation automation, up to 380/400kV, with hands-on responsibility for energization planning and handover.

The ideal candidate has 8-15 years of relevant experience, a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, and a proven track record in high-voltage testing,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
8-15 years of experience in testing & commissioning of EHV/HV/MV substations.
Strong knowledge of protection systems, SCADA, IEC 61850, and Substation Automation.

Responsibilities

Test and commission EHV/HV/MV substations up to 380/400kV.
Commission primary equipment including Transformers, GIS/AIS Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, CTs, VTs, Cables, and Busbars.
Execute protection relay testing, logic verification, interlock checks, and end-to-end testing.
Test and commission SCADA, RTU, SAS, communication, and IEC 61850 systems.
Prepare commissioning procedures, test reports, and energization plans.
Coordinate with clients, utilities, vendors, and construction teams.
Lead energization activities and support final handover.
Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and utility standards.
