Job summary

GE Vernova in Saudi Arabia seeks a Lead Commissioning Specialist to lead testing and commissioning of electrical substation protection and control systems, ensuring safety, quality, cost and delivery targets are met.

You will organize and manage all site tests, develop test plans, coordinate with clients and consultants, and ensure proper documentation, drawings updates, and timely reporting of progress and issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related fields.
• Minimum 7 years of SAS Testing and Commissioning experience.
• Familiar with protection & control and sub-station protection schemes.
• Strong knowledge of control panels for AVR, ABTS, ACCS, AMR.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and communicate with leadership.
• Experience in preparing interface (CID) files with SAS systems.

Responsibilities

• Organizing and managing all the substation tests.
• Preparing test plans and associated test procedures.
• Carrying out all types of on-site tests of protection and control systems.
• Updating testing schedules aligned with the project timeline.
• Managing test equipment on-site and ensuring calibration validity.
• Ensuring tests meet quality and contract requirements.
• Issuing and managing non-conformance reports when needed.
• Preparing and updating as-built drawings and documentation.
