Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Control & Protection Design Engineer to lead the design of control and protection systems for HV substations in Saudi Arabia. You will develop and integrate the control system, protection scheme, electrical distribution, telecom and monitoring solutions, and produce single line diagrams, interlocking logic and network design.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams, support documentation, and manage subcontractors while overseeing commissioning of low voltage systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college.
• Minimum 8 years of engineering experience in T&D, STATCOM, HV substations in a project/EPC environment.
• Strong command of English (spoken and written).
• Willingness to travel up to 20% across MEA & Europe.

Responsibilities

• Lead design for High Voltage Substation Control, protection and low voltage systems to ensure reliability and regulatory compliance.
• Design and integrate control, protection, electrical distribution, telecom and monitoring for HV substations; deliver SLDs, schematics, protection schemes, interlocking and network design.
• Support project documentation, participate in continuous improvement, and oversee design reviews and subcontractor management.
• Oversee commissioning and testing of low voltage systems.
