Job summary

Dar Al Riyadh Group seeks an experienced Structural Engineer to supervise civil and structural works during a high-rise hotel renovation. You will ensure compliance with drawings, project specs, Saudi Building Code, and safety procedures, while coordinating with multiple disciplines.

The candidate will review shop drawings and calculations, oversee testing, and report risks to the Project Manager. A master’s degree is preferred and 15+ years in the field are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in structural engineering and construction supervision.
• Proven experience in high-rise structural retrofitting, major building renovations and concrete remediation.
• Strong knowledge of the Saudi Building Code and structural, seismic, and wind-design requirements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, structural analysis software, and BIM coordination.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; Arabic is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise civil and structural works for renovation of a high-rise hotel.
• Review structural shop drawings, method statements, demolition sequences, temporary works, shoring and propping.
• Review concrete repair proposals, strengthening details, and technical calculations.
• Witness non-destructive testing, concrete core testing and load testing.
• Coordinate with Architectural, MEP, facade, interior design and specialist installations.
• Report structural risks, safety concerns and delays to the Project Manager.
• Review as-built drawings, testing records and handover documentation.
