Job summary

TRACTEBEL is seeking a Senior Site Construction Engineer for the Al Khushaybi BESS IPP project in the Al Khushaybi area of the Qassim Region, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. You will oversee all on-site construction activities, ensure compliance with drawings, standards, and contract requirements, and coordinate interfaces with EPC and Client teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with proven substation experience in KSA, SEC & National Grid familiarity, and a focus on

• Experience with renewable energy projects and grid integration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises construction works to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Monitors quality, progress, and workmanship and witnesses inspections and tests.
• Coordinates all Engineer’s site services and interfaces with EPC and Client teams.
• Ensures site execution aligns with design intent and applicable standards.
• Identifies non-conformities, site risks, and delays, and escalates as needed.
• Prepares and submits regular site progress and event reports.
• Maintains accurate site records and supports milestone achievement and handover.
• Acts as focal point for all site-related matters from OE side.

Senior Site Construction Engineer - Renewable- Project Based at Site

Job Summary

Tractebel has been appointed as the Owner's Engineer for the Al Khushaybi Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Independent Power Project (IPP) in the Al Qassim Region, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The project is being developed by ENGIE and its consortium partners under the Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC) Battery Energy Storage Program. The Al Khushaybi BESS facility has a capacity of 500 MW with 4 hours of storage duration(2,000MWh).

As Owner's Engineer, Tractebel is responsible for providing independent technical oversight and assurance throughout the project lifecycle, including design review, engineering management, technology assessment, construction supervision, testing and commissioning support, and verification of compliance with contractual, regulatory, and international technical standards.
